How to brew coffee drip

What is Coffee Drips
A coffee drip consists of a paper filter containing ground coffee. This paper filter, filled with coffee, is sealed securely inside a protective bag. To prepare a cup of coffee, all you need to do is pour hot water into the filter, placed atop a mug. Instructions for making coffee with this method are detailed further on this page.

How to brew
1. Find the notch and use it to open the bag

2. Pull out the coffee bag, and rip off the top where you see the dotted line

3. Stick the filter over your cup

4. Then slowly pour 30 ml hot water (96°C) right into the middle of the coffee bag. Make pause for 30 seconds, Then slowly pour 200 ml hot water within 2 minutes.

And there you have it, your coffee's good to go!

A few extra pointers:

  • Coffee's at its prime when it's warm, not scalding hot.
  • Aim for a final drink weight around 200-250 grams. Feel free to tweak it to your liking.
  • Ideal water temp? That would be about 96 degrees.
  • You're looking at about 3 minutes for the brew time.
  • I'd suggest skipping sugar, milk, or anything else. Pure black coffee's the way to go. It's pretty good with some hard cheese, but you do you.
  • If you end up pouring so much water that part of the bag gets wet, no worries, that's normal.
  • Before you toss the filter, you can give it a squeeze over your cup to get every last drop.
